Super Lemon Haze, also known as “SLH,” is a sativa-dominant hybrid strain bred by combining the strains of Super Lemon Haze, Haze, Skunk #1, Lemon Skunk and Northern Lights.
While this strain’s exact origins remain in question, it is known that the original genetics for this strain was created by Arjan of Green House Seeds. Arjan started with a female plant from the Super Lemon Haze, an award-winning strain that won the 1997, 1998 and 1999 High Times Cannabis Cup awards, and crossed that with three other strains.
He took his original Super Silver Haze plant and combined it with Haze, Skunk #1 and Northern Lights to create an entirely new hybrid, but he didn’t stop there! He took his unnamed hybrid back to Green House Seeds and combined it with yet another strain, Lemon Skunk.
A European strain, Lemon Skunk was imported from Amsterdam over to the United States by a cultivator known as “The Lemon Man,” Once Arjan and The Lemon Man joined their weed strains together, the rest is history.
